My Craft Room

I've been tweaking my craft room for a year now. I have this itch to buy everything I could possibly need. I've been saving up and will be getting a cricut on Black Friday, this year. I will also be getting a sewing machine. I already have my table, thanks to my Dad! I am really excited about that. Anyways, let me share some pictures of my craft room. I've tried to utilize every bit of room that I can. I have to share it with the office and it's not the biggest room, to begin with. I love it though. It makes me so happy to just be in here!

I got this cube and totes from Target, on sale. I love how it stores so many things and looks cute at the same time. I also have an embosser, by Sizzix, that I use for making my own cards. Next to it, I have a laminator that I got at Walmart for less than $20!

This is the table that my dad gave to me. It had a flap that is open now, but can be smaller. I have a Raskog cart from Ikea next to it. I just got it and intend to use it from sewing/cricut items.

Next, is the office desk, where my husband spends a lot of time studying. I have The Goodwife up on Hulu. I'm always watching Netflix or Hulu when I'm in the craft room. Sorry, there is a window and a glare.

This is where I do most of my crafting. This table has two flaps that fold out, but I usually don't have them out. My husband and I painted and put that peg board together! It was a pain but absolutely worth it. I have various things on here, that I use constantly. I have some tools, washi, quilling and burning tools, pens/pencils/markers and paint. There's lots of things and I love how much I can fit on this pegboard. It really helps me make the most out of this space.

Finally, one of my favorite updates to our house, so far. We weren't really using this closet but to store some boxes of books. I got the idea off pinterest. I really needed additional workspace and instead of buying an expensive new desk (L-Shaped), we decided on re-doing the closet. I added the shelves and the work space. I love it! It really helped me with craft storage and utilizing a small space and making it into a nice work space.

I'm just throwing this out because it took so long to make these flowers. I made them for my sister's baby shower and couldn't stand to throw them away. I put them up around my door and never took them down. I quite like them and it makes the room more cheery.

This is my little piece of heaven. Is there anything that I'm missing? Any tools or things that you would suggest that are must haves for a craft room?! I do ALL kinds of crafts! Let me hear your ideas!!!!

Nordstrom Sale: Lorac Refind Romance Palette

During the Nordstrom sale, I received a $10 coupon towards a purchase for being a part of their rewards program. I really didn't have much of a budget left, so I was SO excited when I found a new Lorac eye/cheek palette available for $18. With free shipping and the coupon, I paid about $9 for it! It's gorgeous and I am in love with the colors. I have a huge love for Lorac. I really love all their eyeshadows and their highlighters too! Here are some swatches for you:

First lets look at this packaging! This is the outside of the palette, gorgeous!

Here is a close up of the inside. There are 4 shimmer shadows, 2 matte shadows and 3 face products- 2 highlighters and 1 blush. The blush is amazing. I love the color so much! I have some swatches below with natural light and one without.

This is a great palette! It's gorgeous on the eyes/face and it lasts all day. I do use a primer with the shadows but I always do. This was a great value and I'm so glad that I was able to pick it up. I'm not surprised though because I love Lorac.

Make Up Forever Metal Palette

I got an email that this metal palette by Make Up Forever was on sale again. I quickly went to Sephora and purchased the Large. I have quite a collection of single eyeshadow pans from makeup sub boxes and purchases. I did not have a Z Palette and I thought this would be a great purchase!

This is a really sleek palette. I did find that my Mac singles don't stick to the pan as well as the other brands I have. Not sure if the magnet isn't as strong or what. I do like it though and it's going to work out well for me! I couldn't believe the price. I believe I paid $13 for the Large size, I can't quite remember. There is plenty of room in here too! I'll be able to buy some more eyeshadow singles now! I'm really wanting to make a Makeup Geek single pan purchase too!

This is a pretty thin packaging too. The only thing is that the black does show fingerprints and can get  pretty dirty. So just be weary of that.

This was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I still have plenty of room in here! I have two OFRA highlighters and the rest are eyeshadows from Mac and one from Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Don't Throw those makeup boxes away!!!

I AM a sucker for beautiful packaging. Yes, I judge books by their cover a lot. One of the things that I love about makeup is the packaging can be absolutely stunning. I was saving all my boxes and it started to get overwhelming. So, I saw an idea somewhere that was similar with something else. What about framing them?

I cut them up, so I had the part of the packaging I wanted and then placed them how I wanted in my frame. Guys, it's such a hit! I have now made two. I had a friend that really wanted to make mine too. She came over and we had a glass of wine, while we put our frames together. It's a great girls night! It also is awesome to hang them up above your vanity, so the beautiful packaging is on display! Not to mention, makeup is expensive! Let's get every penny out of that product you can!! :)

Here are some pictures of the finished product!
