Eternity Now by Calvin Klein VoxBox

I am so excited that I was picked for the Eternity Now Voxbox. I don't get many, so I was glad to get this regardless. It's a bonus that I actually like Calvin Klein fragrances! I am extremely picky when it comes to perfumes and hardly wear them. The only fragrance that I own is Euphoria by Calvin Klein. I'm glad that I can now add another CK fragrance to my repertoire.

I didn't get much of a fruit smell from this. I know that's what is advertised and what people are saying. I think it smells more like a light flowery scent. It's not overpowering and just is nice. That's my opinion of the women's scent. The men's scent, on the other hand, smells a bit like others. I don't know if it's just me but I feel like a lot of the men fragrances are similar. I think my husband said something about feeling that way too. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot that are awful but this isn't one of them. This one smells good!

I think that these fragrances go well together. So if we are both wearing them, they compliment each other and are not overpowering. Overall, we both really liked these two fragrances!

One of the best parts of this Campaign, is that it came with a fragrance for my husband too. We both really liked them and will be purchasing them in the future. Christmas is coming up, so it's actually perfect timing.

Bzz Agent Campaign: Coca Cola Life

 

 

I want to thank Coca Cola and Bzz Agent for a bottle of this to try. Even though, I received this for free, it in no way, influenced my opinions.

 

I love Coke products. My absolute favorite pop/soda is Coke Zero. I was really excited to try this because of my love for Coke. I am sad to say that it was a miss for me. I didn't feel like it was as refreshing. You know when you open up a pop and you take the first taste? It's the "Ahhh" moment. So refreshing, right? Unfortunately, this didn't do that for me. In addition to that, I didn't like the taste. I don't quite know what it was but it had a bad after taste. I know it's not the cane sugar. I grew up on Mexican pop in the bottle and that's cane sugar. It's actually the best pop.

 

Speaking of Mexican pop, my absolute favorite thing about this was that it was in a glass bottle. I love the glass bottles. I grew up with them and it's just a blast from the past, to have this pop in the glass bottle. I really wanted to like this but it was just okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase it because it is pricier than the regular Coke products and doesn't taste as well.

Bzz Agent Campaign: Special K Cereal & Breakfast Bars

I just got this in the mail. This is by far one of the best kits. I thought I was going to have a coupon for either the cereal or bars. I got boxes of both and a lot of coupons. I think it was the most coupons I have ever received in a campaign. Anyways, these are my thoughts on these two item..

Cinnamon Brown Sugar Crunch Cereal:
             - I could not finish this box. I even had my husband try to eat some and he disliked it more than I. It tastes a bit like eating cardboard with a dash of cinnamon added for flavor. It's such a light addition, you can barely taste it. So... overall, this was a huge miss. I didn't like it and I will not be buying it. I'm honestly, pretty nervous to even try the other flavors of their new cereal. It's strange because I've had their cereal in the past and didn't think it was this bad. It was always just okay, not my favorite, but good enough. This was just way off for me. I didn't like the taste at all. 

Chocolate Almond Chewy Nut Bar:
                  -AMAZING! These were so good. They had the right amount of chocolate, nuts and a bit of the sweet/salty taste. They are chewy, which are my favorite type of bars. It was so hard for me to just not sit there and eat the whole box in one sitting. Not only does it taste like a dessert, it's full of protein and natural ingredients. I started taking these to work as a mid-day snack and it's just what I needed. It's pretty good at cutting that mid-day hunger and picking you up a bit. I would highly recommend these. I've tried a few of their other flavors and they are just as good!! 

Voxbox #2! I Do VoxBox

I am so excited! I completely gave up on Infleunster this month and decided to not keep working so hard for NO reward. Then I got an email last week that I was in!! This was a great box too.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation in 820

I usually don't wear foundation. I use a mineral powder or go without. I just don't like the feel on my face, it feels like it's trapped. Like my skin can't breathe. I can definitely tell when a foundation is cake-y. I tried this because well I got it for free. The first time, I lasted about 30 seconds before I had to scrub it all off. It has been years, since I've used a liquid foundation. Determined to see the better side of this, I tried again. I used a very small amount and I actually lasted all day! It did great coverage with a very small amount. I felt like my face could breathe and it looked great. The color I received was a shade darker than my skin tone. So it was another reason that I just used a small amount. I might actually try this in my correct skin tone at a later date.

 

Covergirl  Outlast Longwear Lipstick - Vivid Violet

The formula and the lipstick is great. It goes on easy and has some lasting power. The only thing is that I don't really use this color. It's a purple color and I usually use nudes or pinks. After I wore this for the day, it left behind a pink stain on my lips. Other then that, this is a great lipstick but I would like to try it in a color that I would use more often.

Neutrogena Hand Cream

- This is awesome! It's actually a clear color and you only use just a dab for your hands. A little really goes a long way with this. Your hands will be so smooth. This might be a new favorite lotion. It will last forever and it feels amazing on your hands.

Indeed Labs Nanoblur

-I love, love this! There are a lot of mixed reviews. My review is: Use it without make-up. I don't wear a lot of foundation, like I mentioned earlier. I used this on top of my moisturizer and immediately saw the difference. It hides your blemishes and makes your skin look and feel gorgeous. I just use a small amount and it has staying power. I love using this when I'm on the run and don't have time to doll up my face. I love this and recommend it!

Sahale Snacks

This was a good snack. I loved the almonds and the cranberries. It was so good but I don't know that I would purchase it in the future. It is a big pricier than I would like. It was good and I'm so glad that I got to try it.


Skinnygirl Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Okay, this was not good. The bar is huge and it was very chalky. I had the chocolate chip cookie dough one and it was VERY rich in the chocolate department but not in a good way. I couldn't even finish the bar. I started to get used to the flavor but then I just felt full. I don't know who could eat a whole bar in one sitting. I was so excited to try this but was really let down. I will not be purchasing this in the future.


Urgent RX Ache & Pain

My husband and I both used this for headaches. I love how easy it is to carry around and it's just great when you have a headache. It works fast and you don't even need water. The flavor I had was the lemon-lime and it wasn't bad. I will make sure to always have one of these in my purse!!


I LOVED THIS BOX!!! It was amazing and had so many products that I will use. I love make up and I definitely got some of that in this box. I love how there are so many items in this box too. It really kept me busy with all the badges to unlock, which is eve more awesome. More chances to win more items!! I really loved most of the items in the box. I found some new items to add to my repertoire.
I got to try some things that I've been wanting to try, which is always good. I now know not to waste my money on some items, like the skinnygirl bars. I loved the nanoblur and am so exited to try it because I don't know that I would have ever purchased it. The reviews were so mixed but I loved it. Thank you so much @Influenster! The #IDOVoxBox was a hit and I loved almost all the items. Can't wait for the next one!


Bon Appetit Pizza -Final Thoughts!

 

 

 

My husband and I really like the Tomato Basil & Pesto pizza. We got the free pizza and have purchased it three additional times! We have kind of a new tradition going on. We buy these pizzas to use on our Netflix night. We have a show that we like to watch together and we always have to make a special time to do this. We are really busy and have opposite schedules a lot of weeks, so it is nice for us to set aside time to be together. These pizzas are cheap, fast, easy, and so good. It's definitely something that we will always have in our freezer!

 

We did try the bacon trio pizza and we didn't like that one so much. I am not a fan of Canadian bacon and the pieces were huge. I even tried to take it off but the flavor didn't approve much after that. It's really different and my husband didn't really like it either. He loves bacon, all kinds, and still didn't like it much.

 

So after we tried the bacon, we went back to the tomato & pesto and stuck with it. That one really is amazing and they didn't have all the available options at my Kroger. Maybe with more time, they will get some of the other flavors.

It's not so easy for some

For the last few weeks there has been something that has been bugging me and I wasn't sure how to address it. I am an extremely private person. I'm not the person that will update my Facebook with my play by play moves throughout the day. Really, I don't say too much about anything important on Facebook. Even though, I'm extremely private, I'm finally going to speak up about something personal. I'm going to answer your question. 

My husband and I, who I love dearly, have been subjected to the following question repeatedly:

"When are you going to have kids?!"

We have been married for four years. That's right, we have had FOUR years of that endless question. As if the, "it will happen, when it happens" response has changed since the last time I've talked to you, a month ago. I don't know when it became acceptable to constantly ask such a personal question.  Frankly, it's no ones business but ours. Regardless, of what our situation is, we shouldn't have to make you feel better by coming up with an answer. 

Real life can be difficult. It has been two years and two months, since we have started "trying" for a baby. Not many people know, except a handful. Our reasoning was that we didn't want people to stop with the "when" and start with the "what's wrong." We didn't know it would be so hard but I'm glad we chose to be prepared.
      It has been a really hard road. I've had countless friends become pregnant, have a full pregnancy, and now their kids are 6+ months old. Last year, my sister told me she was pregnant and a week later, I had a miscarriage. My first heartbreaking miscarriage. It started during Thanksgiving week and I realized what was happening a few days later.. My OB confirmed it in December. Happy Holidays to us! It's been a battle since then. Not only emotionally but physically. During this time did all the questioning stop? No, it only became worse.  Worse because I was dealing with the loss and STILL having to answer this stupid question. My husband is amazing because I would look at him and he would take over. He still uses the same phrase.

A few weeks ago, my niece was born. Such a happy time, right? Immediately, the interrogations started. 

 "Where are yours?" 

"Does this make you want to start thinking about kids?" 

"When are you going to have kids?"

I'm so tired of the intrusive questions.  If I were to answer your questions honestly, you would feel so awkward. I'm sure of it. You would feel horrible. So not only do I have to hide my feelings, I have to protect yours too.

I have not been able to do the one thing that I should be able to do. These constant questions make me feel so much worse. It's like you are personally asking me, "What is wrong with you? How could you not have any kids yet?"


So this has become my private life made public. This is not a post about asking for attention or "I'm sorry". Please do not do that. This is basically about trying to get this to stop.. for the next person. Maybe it will make you think before asking this of others. Maybe couples have decided that kids are not for them or they can't have them. This questioning makes us feel so much worse. Please, please think before you ask these questions. You don't know what anyone is going through or struggling with. So while this may  seem like a conversation starter to you, it could be a devastating one to another. 

Walmart Beauty Box- Summer 2015

 

 

This is my second Beauty Box from Walmart. This is definitely worth the $5!! Although, I did get a couple of the same items in the Spring & Summer box. The Neutrogena Facial cleanser & the Revlon Lipstick in the same red shade. So, I won't be reviewing these here since I did in the Spring box.

 

 

John Frieda: Beach Blonde Sea Waves Spray

 

I sprayed this in my hair and really liked the scent. I'm not sure that it actually gave me waves. I know that John Frieda has different formulas for different colors. I'm a brunette, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. Not something I would purchase for myself.

 

 

Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

 

I actually have a few of these in this travel size. I got a bunch for Christmas from my mom because we are up there at least once a month. We live about 3 hours south of our family and usually end up going up once a month. So, to lighten our packing a bit my mom gave me some of these and keeps a few at her house, so we have a few less things to pack. I really like this shampoo. I've considered buying it in full size lately, to try something different. My hair feel softer and shinier with this.

 

 

 

Nivea Soft Moisturizing Crème

 

I've actually used this product for a long time. I love this travel size and it's the one that I sometimes carry in my purse. I love this moisturizer for my hands but sometimes it can leave a oily residue afterwards.

I love it! I usually use it over my moisturizer when I don't have time to really spend a lot of time on my make up. It's great for on the go. A little goes a long way too. I mean that. A little goes a long way. It does an amazing job at hiding your imperfections and blending into your skin. I love the way my face feels after I apply it too. Sometimes it can tingle for a few seconds, which I don't like. It's rarely happened lately though or maybe I'm just used to it.

 

If you have an on the go lifestyle, and don't always have a lot of time to get through your usual beauty routine, this is something you need in your arsenal. It's usually $20, which is not bad. Right now, Ulta.com has it on sale for $16.99!

Bon Appetit Pizza Review! @BonAppetit @Bzzagent

Thanks to @BonAppetit and @BzzAgent for providing one of these pizzas free for testing purposes. We ended up choosing the Pepperoni & Pesto pizza. Our Kroger didn't have all of the available options above, so we were limited in our choosing.

My husband and I love pizza! We are super busy and have opposite schedules most weeks. We usually get pizza or make our own, once a week. This is our night to unwind, relax, enjoy each other and watch Netflix. We love to binge watch shows together on Netflix. Anyways, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try this out!

These pizzas are a bit on the smaller side. We each had two pieces and he was still hungry. So we made some popcorn after finishing the pizza. We paired it with Coke Zero because we just can't have pizza without pop of some kind. It's actually the only time we drink pop! Besides it being on the smaller side, we really liked it. It had amazing flavor. The pesto was so good and the mozzarella on the crust was delicious. I love crusts. They are how I decide whether or not I like a certain pizza. I loved this crust. It had flavor and was crispy. Just how I like it! It's also a thinner crust, which I love.

I would recommend making it more of a meal type dinner, with an appetizer and salad. We will do that in the future but not on our Netflix night! Those nights are for quick dinners :) On that note, Yes... we will be buying these in the future! I can't wait to try some of the other flavors. Do any of these sound good to you? I LOVE this!! I tried it out quickly before I went to the grocery store. It had some real staying power, without a primer or liner. It's an awesome color that I love. It's a pink/nudish color.

 

 

CARGO Eye Shadow Single in Pasadena (Pink)- $16

 

I am pretty sure that CARGO has sucked me in. I love this eye shadow. I love pinks. Naturals and Pinks are my favorite eye shadows. Mostly because of my skin tone and because they go with everything. I used this without a primer to see how it held up. It did a pretty good job. I think in the future, I will add a primer first to get more of the color to pop. It's a really light pink. Overall, I loved this.

I received a Covergirl Outlast stay luminous foundation in my #IdoVoxbox from @Influenster. I was excited to try this because I'm so picky with foundation. So picky that in fact, I don't wear it. It's been years since I've used an actual foundation. I either go bare or just use a mineral powder. Lately, I've found a love for BB creams because they are a bit more coverage. The reason that I can't wear foundation is that I can't stand the feel on my face. I don't do anything that makes my face feel cake-y and sticky. When you can feel the amount of product you are wearing, it's highly uncomfortable.

Surprisingly, I ended up liking this foundation. A little goes a long way, really. You don't need much to get a lasting coverage, which is good. It doesn't make your face feel like you have a ton of make up. The only thing is that I was sent a color that is a shade darker than my skin tone. So I had to REALLY rub it in and use a powder to help blend in the color. Once I was finished, it looked pretty great. So that's not so bad. I'll be using this more to see how it works with full day use at work and for other occasions. So far, so good! I'm excited to find a foundation that I can handle.

This the first time I've ordered online from NYX. I have bough many of their items from stores but they were having a 30% sale online. I will continue to update, as I use the products.  This is what I got:

Adorable Eye Shadow Palette

Sooo pretty!!! I love this. I haven't had time to use it too much but so far, so good. I used the primer underneath to give the colors more of a pop. Plus, I wasn't sure if they would stay on without it. I tried one color without primer and it seemed to work okay. It just looks better with the primer. I love these colors. Pink/Nudes/Golds are my favorites when it comes to shadow. So this is right up my ally!

 

 

Prismatic Shadow: Mermaid

 

This is absolutely gorgeous! I've been wanting this since it first came out. I was so excited to try and i loved it. It does need a primer or else just a lot of application to make it last all day. I just used a few strokes because I wasn't sure how it would look on my skin tone. A little went a long way at first, but it would need a primer for all day staying power. Love the color and the product though.

 

 

Prismatic Shadow: Golden Peach

I definitely had to use a primer with this. It goes on light and you have a to apply a lot to get this to pop. I loved it when it was all primed and ready to go. These prismatic shadows are really gorgeous and definitely worth the prep time.

 

 

 

Above & Beyond Full Coverage Concealer

This is a good concealer. I only use it for small sections on my face at a time. Usually, under my eyes or to cover blemishes. I like this so far. It doesn't feel cake-y and you can't really tell that you are covering up blemishes.

 

 

 

Intense Butter Gloss- Napolean

 

This is definitely an intense color but I loved it. I have only used it one time but that's because I just have so many options to choose from!

 

Soft Matte Lip Cream- Milan

 

I own many of these matte lip creams. I love them so much! Not only are they gorgeous they last a very long time. I can eat and drink and it still lasts. My husband loves that it wont rub off on him when he goes in for a kiss too! Love these- all of them so far.

Maybelline The Blushed Nudes

 

I just used this today! I got my order last night and I just couldn't wait to open this baby up. It is gorgeous and the duo that I used, I love! I did use a primer but I don't know that I would have needed it. I can't wait to try all the different colors. I also love that they have duo, Trios, and Quad examples on the back. Especially, since I'm kind of new at the last two options!

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hour Metal- Inked in Pink

Love, love! I have been wanting to try this and I talked a friend into buying it a couple months back. She liked it and I thought, it's time to buy it. It was on sale and I thought, yes, it is time. I decided to wear this to work to really test out the actual "tattoo" part. It worked amazingly. I work at a library and it's dirty, dusty and sweaty in there. Our ac hardly ever works right so it can be 80 degrees in there at times. Needless to say, Super hot! I hardly ever wear any makeup on work days because of this. I used this and it stayed on all day. I never had to reapply and it looked just as good when the day was over. I love this!!

 

 

Nyx Matte Finish Setting Spray

I'm not sure about this yet. The first time, I got too close to it and it made my face feel gross and sticky. I will have to try it out a few more times... then update.

 

 

Nyx Eye Shadow Base- White

So far, this is working great! It keeps on my eye shadow that doesn't like to stick around and makes them a bit more pigmented. It's so easy to apply. I wasn't sure what the white would do to my shadows but you can't tell. It doesn't really mute the colors or anything. Love this so far.

Ipsy Glambag- June 15

 

This is my 4th ipsy bag and this is my least favorite of them all. I know that I'm not going to love all of them so I'm not going to let this month bring me down too much. I have loved my other bags and received some great things! I did like a couple products but I feel like the nail polish I received was the same color I received before. Not too happy about that.

treStique Venetian Gold eye shadow stick

 

This color is great. It's my color but I buy a lot of nudes and naturals and would like some more color from Ipsy. I feel like they are all the same color lately. Anyways, this went on super easy and it looks great. I loved how easy it was! The only thing is that you have to wear a primer under it because it will fade, especially in the crease.

 

 

Formula X- Power Source

Well this is a nice polish but I didn't think it had the staying power as some of my others. I liked the color but was unhappy with the SAME color of polish out of the 2 I have received. I would like some variation and I would have loved the blue they had. Plus, this was a tiny sample polish and the full size would have been nice.

 

 

The Healthy Body Butter- Pure Vanilla

Not for me. This smells kind of weird and not to much like vanilla, which was good. I don't like vanilla scents that are too sweet. Yeah, I'm weird. Although, it didn't smell completely like vanilla, I didn't smell great. I just didn't like this one or the consistency. I just didn't like this, will be giving it away.

 

 
 

It Cosmetics Eyebrow Duo

 

This works great! I was unsure of it at first because I didn't know how the colors would blend. I don't have to use much at all and it really fills in my eyebrows. It lasts all day and looks natural. I couldn't even tell where I put the product on when I looked in the mirror later. I really love this product!

  

 

 

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer

 

I did not like this! It is very humid and the foundation that I use isn't the greatest. So I don't know if those influenced it or not. I felt like this made my foundation really sticky and thick. I don't wear a lot of foundation and I absolutely don't like it to feel heavy. This primer made it feel really heavy. I'm going to try it with a new foundation I ordered and see if it feels the same. So far, not a fan of this.

Second Birchbox- June 15

 

 

This is my second box. It took forever to get here. It is most likely because a product that was promised to everyone was stuck in customs. So they switched out the item last minute. I also feel like the shipping was a problem because it was stuck in one place for 5 days! Anyways, it's a really pretty box and there are some great products in here!

Number 4 Super Comb Prep & Protect

Not sure about what this really does. I used it a couple times before spending time outside in the sun. I think it worked. Not so sure. I didn't feel or see much of a difference in my hair but I'll continue to use it and see if I notice anything.

 

 

L. Erickson Hair Tie

Not a bad hair tie. I have to tie a hair tie at least three times. I don't like my pony tails to be loose at all. This one could go three times and half of another. It definitely worked great but it wasn't as tight as I would like it. I use it a lot anyways because it gets the job done. I can't wear it to bed though because then my hair is out and a hot mess in the morning.

 

 

Supergoop Play Everyday Sunscreen Spf 50

Not a fan of this. I put this on before going out in the sun for some gardening. I was outside probably for an hour or so. I came inside and there were so many freckles! I felt my head feeling hot and achy, kind of like when you are getting sun burned. Anyways, I did not like this. I felt like it didn't work at all! Now I have a ton of freckles on my face.

 

 

Marcelle BB cream Golden Glow

I loved this! It looks amazing on and the color was perfect. It felt light and airy. I didn't feel like I had a bunch of product on my face and that is exactly what I look for in a cream or foundation. So sad that it's such a small sample because I don't know that I can afford to buy the full size product. I loved this though!
 

 

 

Marcelle Waterproof Eyeliner- Indigo

-This is great! It has lasted all day, even with the high humidity. It's a blue color but it's hard to notice, unless you are actually looking for it. It just looks like a lighter shade of black. Great product!

 

 

Catherine Malandrino Perfume

-I'm not really a perfume person. I tried this on and it wasn't too bad. It was a bit strong for me but my husband didn't seem to hate it. Haha. I might use this on special occasions because I liked the smell enough.

 

 

Third Bzzagent Campaign: Crest Pro Health HD Toothpaste

**UPDATE**

 

So, I would like to say that receiving this product for free, has in no way influenced my opinions. First, I would like to say that this definitely works. I used this for one week before my teeth needed a break. I have sensitive teeth and have never been able to use the strips or any serious whitener. They just kill my teeth and I don't feel like going through all the soreness. Anyways, I made it one week and sure enough, my teeth started to feel more sensitive and have some aches. I missed my Sensodyne. I did take a before and after picture though. My teeth were whiter. I couldn't believe it! I've never found anything that my teeth could tolerate and actually worked.

 

I did have to stop and start up on my regular toothpaste. I will use this in the future when there is a reason I need an extra whiteness to my teeth. :)

 

The taste... took some getting used to. It definitely tastes just like fluoride. The first part is the one that is hard to take. When I first tried it, I didn't know if I would be able to finish! I then got used to it after a couple days. The second part is the "cleaner" type toothpaste. I felt like my teeth were fresher and cleaner after using it. It also really helped get rid of that fluoride taste.

 

Overall, if you don't have sensitive teeth, get this! It's affordable and it really works. I am unlucky and have to take it in small doses. I'm glad it's there for me though. My husband also wants to start using it because he noticed my whiter teeth.

 

Target Beauty Box $7

Well I totally missed out on all the Spring options of the Target Beauty box. It goes so fast. So I've been obsessively checking all the time for the Summer box. I finally checked and there was a women's and men's box available. I was so excited. I bought the women's box because my husband didn't want one. This is what I got for $7:

-Fekkai Soleil pre-soleil hair mist

-Olay Regenerist Luminous eye cream

-Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in Gladiolus (red)

-Sinful Colors Nail polish in Supernova (penny metallic color)

-Cutex One-Step Polish remover pads

 

 

I'm really happy with this box. You get a lot for $7, so it's totally worth it. I checked the lipstick at Target today and it alone was 7.99. So it's a great deal. They were sold out of boxes the next day. So it's pretty hard to get one if you wait too long. It's such a pretty box. A little black box, much like the birchbox, and has red tissue paper to open up the package. I'm going to have so many great boxes for gifts now!

I will review each item as I try them.

Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick
- I tried this out today and I really liked it. It's a red pinkish hue. It's pretty red and bright when you really put a good amount on. I also like that when I blotted my lips, there was a pinkish color. It's had great staying power so far. I really like it. It's an unusual shape too.

Fekkai Soleil Pre-Soleil Hair Mist
- I actually really liked this. I sprayed it in before I went walking around the city in the heat. It didn't make my hair feel gross but light and airy. It seems to have helped with the actual sun protection too. I'll have to keep wearing it to see if I notice that part.

Olay Regenerist Luminous Eye Cream
 This actual works! I have trouble with puffiness or dark spots under my eyes. I used this and it was a bit tingly for a little while but not bad. It seemed to help that area instantly. I'll be adding this to my arsenal.

Sinful Colors Nail Polish in Supernova
- I love this!! I like Sinful Colors anyways but this color is fabulous. It is a great formula because you really have enough with just one coat. I always put on two but you wouldn't have to with this. I also used this as the "tip" color over my purple nails. It's a bit beat up after a week but still noticeable. Love this!

Walmart Beauty Box- Spring 2015

I got my first Walmart Beauty Box. I figured for $5 bucks, not a bad deal no matter what I got. I wish I would have had some more make up items but it was mostly lotions and such. Still, not a bad deal for the price though. I must have deleted my actual photo off my phone but I used the one from my instagram. I really wish I would have had ANY make up products. I hope that's not the case in the future.

I haven't used the items yet but I will soon! Then I will write short reviews on how I liked each item.

First Birchbox- May 2015

I got my first Birchbox! I also download the app because I was told that you can see your box before it arrives. Well when I saw the products, I wasn't  that excited because it was a lot of things I wasn't interested in. Although, when I received my box, it was all different products. I loved it! I had some things and brands that I've wanted to try. So here's my box:

The theme is Cupcakes and Cashmere. The box is so cute and it's smaller than I thought it would be. Anyways, I'm so excited to try all these products. I will update as I try products.

Cargo Blush:

I usually don't use a lot of blush because I have a natural pink hue in my cheeks. Lately, I've decided that I really like blush! I tried this and I loved it. I was nervous because it is really pigmented but it blended in really well. This will last a long time. Great product!! 

Revealed 3 sample palette:

-I love this! The gold and purple color are my favorites and they look absolutely stunning. You really don't need a lot because a little goes a long way. Very pigmented and long lasting. I'm really going to consider adding this full palette to my future purchase list!

Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser

- I thought this was just okay. Mostly, it was very difficult to apply. It was dried out or else I just got a bad sample. I had to scrape it both times I used it with my nails to get any out. I then felt like i lost a lot of product down the drain because I had to add water to get it to foam. Once I applied it, I did really like it. It smells great and the lemon is not too overpowering. My face felt refreshed and soft after too. I wouldn't ever purchase this because it is really expensive and it was just a very difficult product to use. Not to mention all the $$ that would just float down the drain when trying to add water to make it foam. 

Nelson j Beverly Hills Argan Oil 7 Moisture Healing Mask

My favorite part about this was the smell. It has a slight coconut smell and I loved that.   I did apply this, following the directions, for a deep usage. I felt that my hair was really soft when it was still wet. When it dried, I didn't feel like there was a huge difference. I might have to try it a few more times, to empty the bottle and see if it does anything. My hair is super thick, so I don't find a lot of products that work that well in my hair. Overall, this was just an okay product for me. 

Crafting Day!

We have a bunch of brick that was left behind when we moved into our house. I decided to use a few to make some of the cool brick books that I've seen on Pinterest. They take a bit of paint and creativity but they turned out pretty cool, I think. Here is a picture of the finished product.

 

 

I used just the regular red brick.

-Acrylic paints

-Craftsman markers

-Acrylic sealer

 

That's it!

 

I think they turned out pretty well.

First PinchMe box

I was lucky enough to get some samples! Finally!! Anyways, that was a month ago and I still have not received my samples. I'm going to wait to 6 weeks and then I will really get worried. I hope I get them because there were a lot of cool things that I definitely want to try!

*** Update** *

 I got my samples!!! Yay! It was so exciting. haha. I was starting to wonder if this was real. Anyways, I got my PINCHme box and it was full of goodies.

I've used quite a few of these already and I just received this a few days ago! My reviews on their website are due soon anyways.

 

Gold Bond Lotion-  I really liked this but one of the things that didn't make it great, was that it is really greasy. I tried rubbing and rubbing and still, there was a lot of grease residue for a long time. I couldn't use my cell phone because it left smudges all over! It is really thick, which made my hands really soft. It worked really well too because they still feel soft today. So besides the grease part, I really like this so far. 

Shea Moisture baby shampoo & lotion- I actually don't have any kids, so I'm not sure why this was an option for me. I have heard a lot of good things about this and that adults use it themselves. So I asked for it and I used it. I love it!! It smells amazing and I love that it is all natural and organic. I'm not a bit natural/organic must have person. I just thought that this was a great, considering that it smells so good and works so well.

Olay Body Wash- I've used Olay for many years. I use that and a couple others, depending on the time of year and sales. I was really excited to get a decent sized sample of this. I really like it so far. It smells amazing and my skin feels soft and hydrated.

$100 wine voucher- I actually didn't think we would use this. My husband saw it and checked out their website and decided to try the $160 12 pack of wine. Their are some wines that sound so good and we can't wait to try! It was a pretty good deal because it also included shipping with tracking!

Mini Splenda Tablets- These are so handy! I will always be able to order my sweet tea at restaurants now. I hate when they don't have sweet tea but now I can make my own! It only took a tablet or two for it to provide the sweet great taste in my tea. They are really handy and you can carry them in your purse.

Luzianne pour and stir tea- This tea taste just like it's home brewed!! My husband doesn't care for tea that much and he really liked it. It doesn't taste too sweet or not natural. It is really good and we used up this sample in one day. I will be buying this product in the future!

Garden Goddess Natural Sunscreen- This product, I did not like that much. It definitely worked to keep me protected from the sun when I was out but I didn't like the application. When I opened it there was a big mess because it just poured out of the tube. The actual product is a liquid, which I did not like. When I applied it, my arms looked so white and it took a lot of rubbing to get it to blend into my skin. I just didn't like that. So I will not purchase this product in the future.


This was an amazing PINCHme box and I cannot wait to get more in the future. What a great thing to do! Try products before to decide if you want to purchase. Love this!

May Glam Bag from Ipsy!

I got my bag a couple days ago and I'm so excited. I have only been able to try one thing so far. There's also a few things that I've learned from Ipsy this month.

First, I received my bellapierre gel eye liner with the tip completely broken off and stuck in the lid. I was pretty bummed about it but wasn't sure if Ipsy would do anything. They have a guarantee on their website that you will receive all your items and they will replace anything that is damaged/broken. So I emailed them and got a response within the next hour! They have sent an order to replace my eye liner at no charge. So awesome! Fast responses and easy customer service are awesome.

Second, I asked if they would be doing a little something extra for birthday months and the answer is No. :( I tried though! haha!

First of all, I love the bag! There were three options and I was hoping this would be the one I got.

I have these items:

-Aime: Morning Dew Matte-Finish Moisturizer

This is the item that I received broken. They have sent me a replacement but it sure is taking it's time to get here. I finally got my replacement but it was about 2 weeks later. I did like it though. It is a thicker tip and so it's a bit more difficult to apply. I think I just need to practice with it. So far, so good though. I really like this and so glad they replaced the broken one!

 

I did not care for this. I had to use half the bottle yesterday and it didn't really do much for my hair. I have thicker hair and sometimes products just don't work. This was one of them. It smelled okay and it did make my soft but only for a short time. My hair became frizzy and a bit of a mess after a while. I will try it again to use the sample but I wasn't impressed.

 

 

Love, love this! I was so excited to get this in my bag. It also came with two lip glosses and I have tried the purple. I actually like it a lot better then I thought I would. Anyways, the lip liner is awesome and goes on so smoothly. It kept my lipstick nice and even throughout the day. I did apply it after work and before going out again but that's not too bad. I'm going to try putting it down under my lipstick and see how long it will last. So far, I really love this!

 

 

Was not impressed with this. I've tried a few moisturizers and this one didn't seem to do much for me. I put it on after my shower in the morning and didn't apply make up that day. I was hoping for my face to feel a bit refreshed but instead it felt oily and that was not a good feeling. I don't even know that I'll use the rest of this sample.

 

 

 

Beauty tools are cool. For me a lot of eye brushes are kind of the same. I received an eye brush two months ago and this one is really similar. I liked it and will definitely be getting a lot of use out of it.
