Jouer LE Mermaid Palette

I had my eye on this since it was released. The thing is, it was sold out! I couldn't even find it on Jouer's website. I then saw a post about Dermstore and how they were having 30% off. I never heard of the place before!

Apparently, it's owned by Target, which is cool. I can already say that their customer service is great but their packaging is awful.

I ordered this and got it pretty quick, so they have fast shipping too. The only thing is that this was not wrapped, at all. Nada. It was just the palette, two samples and the packaging slip. No bubble wrap or any protection whatsoever.

Of course, I had a color come in completely busted and all over the box and palette. It was also the darkest shade, so it was a mess. I took a picture, contacted them and they sent me a replacement one, within a few hours. I got the replacement palette 2 days later and still not packaged well. The white shade came completely shattered. I am about to email them that they need to protect their items better because it came in broken again. I'm just going to switch out the bad and good shadows from both palettes to make one complete palette. I'm also going to try and fix the broken ones, as I have seen done in a couple makeup groups!

Anyways, onto the palette...

It is gorgeous! There is definitely fallout and it's powdery on the brush. I also had glitter all over my face, so that was not good. It is gorgeous on the lids though. I used a patting technique and some setting spray, to get the shine to really pop. It really lasted all day, with primer. I always use primer though. I do feel like they are a bit delicate but that's not a big deal.

I got this for 30% off and I don't know that I would buy it at full price. It might be that they are so shimmery and that's why they are so delicate. They do look great on the eyes and feel really good though. I just feel like they have a little too much fallout. As you know, glitter is a pain to try and get off! It goes everywhere!!! I don't know, maybe the whole process just dampened my excitement a bit.

I need to find a better trick to keep all the glitter from falling all over my face. Any tips, would be great!
