Eternity Now by Calvin Klein VoxBox

I am so excited that I was picked for the Eternity Now Voxbox. I don't get many, so I was glad to get this regardless. It's a bonus that I actually like Calvin Klein fragrances! I am extremely picky when it comes to perfumes and hardly wear them. The only fragrance that I own is Euphoria by Calvin Klein. I'm glad that I can now add another CK fragrance to my repertoire.

I didn't get much of a fruit smell from this. I know that's what is advertised and what people are saying. I think it smells more like a light flowery scent. It's not overpowering and just is nice. That's my opinion of the women's scent. The men's scent, on the other hand, smells a bit like others. I don't know if it's just me but I feel like a lot of the men fragrances are similar. I think my husband said something about feeling that way too. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot that are awful but this isn't one of them. This one smells good!

I think that these fragrances go well together. So if we are both wearing them, they compliment each other and are not overpowering. Overall, we both really liked these two fragrances!

One of the best parts of this Campaign, is that it came with a fragrance for my husband too. We both really liked them and will be purchasing them in the future. Christmas is coming up, so it's actually perfect timing.

Bzz Agent Campaign: Coca Cola Life

 

 

I want to thank Coca Cola and Bzz Agent for a bottle of this to try. Even though, I received this for free, it in no way, influenced my opinions.

 

I love Coke products. My absolute favorite pop/soda is Coke Zero. I was really excited to try this because of my love for Coke. I am sad to say that it was a miss for me. I didn't feel like it was as refreshing. You know when you open up a pop and you take the first taste? It's the "Ahhh" moment. So refreshing, right? Unfortunately, this didn't do that for me. In addition to that, I didn't like the taste. I don't quite know what it was but it had a bad after taste. I know it's not the cane sugar. I grew up on Mexican pop in the bottle and that's cane sugar. It's actually the best pop.

 

Speaking of Mexican pop, my absolute favorite thing about this was that it was in a glass bottle. I love the glass bottles. I grew up with them and it's just a blast from the past, to have this pop in the glass bottle. I really wanted to like this but it was just okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase it because it is pricier than the regular Coke products and doesn't taste as well.

Bzz Agent Campaign: Special K Cereal & Breakfast Bars

I just got this in the mail. This is by far one of the best kits. I thought I was going to have a coupon for either the cereal or bars. I got boxes of both and a lot of coupons. I think it was the most coupons I have ever received in a campaign. Anyways, these are my thoughts on these two item..

Cinnamon Brown Sugar Crunch Cereal:
             - I could not finish this box. I even had my husband try to eat some and he disliked it more than I. It tastes a bit like eating cardboard with a dash of cinnamon added for flavor. It's such a light addition, you can barely taste it. So... overall, this was a huge miss. I didn't like it and I will not be buying it. I'm honestly, pretty nervous to even try the other flavors of their new cereal. It's strange because I've had their cereal in the past and didn't think it was this bad. It was always just okay, not my favorite, but good enough. This was just way off for me. I didn't like the taste at all. 

Chocolate Almond Chewy Nut Bar:
                  -AMAZING! These were so good. They had the right amount of chocolate, nuts and a bit of the sweet/salty taste. They are chewy, which are my favorite type of bars. It was so hard for me to just not sit there and eat the whole box in one sitting. Not only does it taste like a dessert, it's full of protein and natural ingredients. I started taking these to work as a mid-day snack and it's just what I needed. It's pretty good at cutting that mid-day hunger and picking you up a bit. I would highly recommend these. I've tried a few of their other flavors and they are just as good!! 

Voxbox #2! I Do VoxBox

I am so excited! I completely gave up on Infleunster this month and decided to not keep working so hard for NO reward. Then I got an email last week that I was in!! This was a great box too.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation in 820

I usually don't wear foundation. I use a mineral powder or go without. I just don't like the feel on my face, it feels like it's trapped. Like my skin can't breathe. I can definitely tell when a foundation is cake-y. I tried this because well I got it for free. The first time, I lasted about 30 seconds before I had to scrub it all off. It has been years, since I've used a liquid foundation. Determined to see the better side of this, I tried again. I used a very small amount and I actually lasted all day! It did great coverage with a very small amount. I felt like my face could breathe and it looked great. The color I received was a shade darker than my skin tone. So it was another reason that I just used a small amount. I might actually try this in my correct skin tone at a later date.

 

Covergirl  Outlast Longwear Lipstick - Vivid Violet

The formula and the lipstick is great. It goes on easy and has some lasting power. The only thing is that I don't really use this color. It's a purple color and I usually use nudes or pinks. After I wore this for the day, it left behind a pink stain on my lips. Other then that, this is a great lipstick but I would like to try it in a color that I would use more often.

Neutrogena Hand Cream

- This is awesome! It's actually a clear color and you only use just a dab for your hands. A little really goes a long way with this. Your hands will be so smooth. This might be a new favorite lotion. It will last forever and it feels amazing on your hands.

Indeed Labs Nanoblur

-I love, love this! There are a lot of mixed reviews. My review is: Use it without make-up. I don't wear a lot of foundation, like I mentioned earlier. I used this on top of my moisturizer and immediately saw the difference. It hides your blemishes and makes your skin look and feel gorgeous. I just use a small amount and it has staying power. I love using this when I'm on the run and don't have time to doll up my face. I love this and recommend it!

Sahale Snacks

This was a good snack. I loved the almonds and the cranberries. It was so good but I don't know that I would purchase it in the future. It is a big pricier than I would like. It was good and I'm so glad that I got to try it.


Skinnygirl Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Okay, this was not good. The bar is huge and it was very chalky. I had the chocolate chip cookie dough one and it was VERY rich in the chocolate department but not in a good way. I couldn't even finish the bar. I started to get used to the flavor but then I just felt full. I don't know who could eat a whole bar in one sitting. I was so excited to try this but was really let down. I will not be purchasing this in the future.


Urgent RX Ache & Pain

My husband and I both used this for headaches. I love how easy it is to carry around and it's just great when you have a headache. It works fast and you don't even need water. The flavor I had was the lemon-lime and it wasn't bad. I will make sure to always have one of these in my purse!!


I LOVED THIS BOX!!! It was amazing and had so many products that I will use. I love make up and I definitely got some of that in this box. I love how there are so many items in this box too. It really kept me busy with all the badges to unlock, which is eve more awesome. More chances to win more items!! I really loved most of the items in the box. I found some new items to add to my repertoire.
I got to try some things that I've been wanting to try, which is always good. I now know not to waste my money on some items, like the skinnygirl bars. I loved the nanoblur and am so exited to try it because I don't know that I would have ever purchased it. The reviews were so mixed but I loved it. Thank you so much @Influenster! The #IDOVoxBox was a hit and I loved almost all the items. Can't wait for the next one!


Bon Appetit Pizza -Final Thoughts!

 

 

 

My husband and I really like the Tomato Basil & Pesto pizza. We got the free pizza and have purchased it three additional times! We have kind of a new tradition going on. We buy these pizzas to use on our Netflix night. We have a show that we like to watch together and we always have to make a special time to do this. We are really busy and have opposite schedules a lot of weeks, so it is nice for us to set aside time to be together. These pizzas are cheap, fast, easy, and so good. It's definitely something that we will always have in our freezer!

 

We did try the bacon trio pizza and we didn't like that one so much. I am not a fan of Canadian bacon and the pieces were huge. I even tried to take it off but the flavor didn't approve much after that. It's really different and my husband didn't really like it either. He loves bacon, all kinds, and still didn't like it much.

 

So after we tried the bacon, we went back to the tomato & pesto and stuck with it. That one really is amazing and they didn't have all the available options at my Kroger. Maybe with more time, they will get some of the other flavors.

It's not so easy for some

For the last few weeks there has been something that has been bugging me and I wasn't sure how to address it. I am an extremely private person. I'm not the person that will update my Facebook with my play by play moves throughout the day. Really, I don't say too much about anything important on Facebook. Even though, I'm extremely private, I'm finally going to speak up about something personal. I'm going to answer your question. 

My husband and I, who I love dearly, have been subjected to the following question repeatedly:

"When are you going to have kids?!"

We have been married for four years. That's right, we have had FOUR years of that endless question. As if the, "it will happen, when it happens" response has changed since the last time I've talked to you, a month ago. I don't know when it became acceptable to constantly ask such a personal question.  Frankly, it's no ones business but ours. Regardless, of what our situation is, we shouldn't have to make you feel better by coming up with an answer. 

Real life can be difficult. It has been two years and two months, since we have started "trying" for a baby. Not many people know, except a handful. Our reasoning was that we didn't want people to stop with the "when" and start with the "what's wrong." We didn't know it would be so hard but I'm glad we chose to be prepared.
      It has been a really hard road. I've had countless friends become pregnant, have a full pregnancy, and now their kids are 6+ months old. Last year, my sister told me she was pregnant and a week later, I had a miscarriage. My first heartbreaking miscarriage. It started during Thanksgiving week and I realized what was happening a few days later.. My OB confirmed it in December. Happy Holidays to us! It's been a battle since then. Not only emotionally but physically. During this time did all the questioning stop? No, it only became worse.  Worse because I was dealing with the loss and STILL having to answer this stupid question. My husband is amazing because I would look at him and he would take over. He still uses the same phrase.

A few weeks ago, my niece was born. Such a happy time, right? Immediately, the interrogations started. 

 "Where are yours?" 

"Does this make you want to start thinking about kids?" 

"When are you going to have kids?"

I'm so tired of the intrusive questions.  If I were to answer your questions honestly, you would feel so awkward. I'm sure of it. You would feel horrible. So not only do I have to hide my feelings, I have to protect yours too.

I have not been able to do the one thing that I should be able to do. These constant questions make me feel so much worse. It's like you are personally asking me, "What is wrong with you? How could you not have any kids yet?"


So this has become my private life made public. This is not a post about asking for attention or "I'm sorry". Please do not do that. This is basically about trying to get this to stop.. for the next person. Maybe it will make you think before asking this of others. Maybe couples have decided that kids are not for them or they can't have them. This questioning makes us feel so much worse. Please, please think before you ask these questions. You don't know what anyone is going through or struggling with. So while this may  seem like a conversation starter to you, it could be a devastating one to another. 

Walmart Beauty Box- Summer 2015

 

 

This is my second Beauty Box from Walmart. This is definitely worth the $5!! Although, I did get a couple of the same items in the Spring & Summer box. The Neutrogena Facial cleanser & the Revlon Lipstick in the same red shade. So, I won't be reviewing these here since I did in the Spring box.

 

 

John Frieda: Beach Blonde Sea Waves Spray

 

I sprayed this in my hair and really liked the scent. I'm not sure that it actually gave me waves. I know that John Frieda has different formulas for different colors. I'm a brunette, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. Not something I would purchase for myself.

 

 

Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

 

I actually have a few of these in this travel size. I got a bunch for Christmas from my mom because we are up there at least once a month. We live about 3 hours south of our family and usually end up going up once a month. So, to lighten our packing a bit my mom gave me some of these and keeps a few at her house, so we have a few less things to pack. I really like this shampoo. I've considered buying it in full size lately, to try something different. My hair feel softer and shinier with this.

 

 

 

Nivea Soft Moisturizing Crème

 

I've actually used this product for a long time. I love this travel size and it's the one that I sometimes carry in my purse. I love this moisturizer for my hands but sometimes it can leave a oily residue afterwards.
